Note: The Scholarship fee structure is awarded to all eligible students after the Admissions Committee reviews applications and required documents. These Invoices will be sent to students via official email from the university’s Finance Department.

 

IMPORTANT

  1. RGUST follows the USA-based curriculum.
  2. All invoices are issued in USD currency.
  3. All students will be issued an invoice upon Admission process.
  4. There is a Trimester in one year but two semesters in one academic year.
  5. Guyanese students have the option to pay per semester during their Pre- Medicine to Pre-Clinical Programme. Clinical Clerkship tuition must be paid before every rotation.
  6. International Students MUST pay tuition per year for the full progamme.
  7. Graduation and Exit Examination fees will be issued upon completion of the program.
  8. RGUST is offering partial Scholarships for National, International, and Caribbean students.
  9. Scholarship is only applicable to students based on their current academic qualification, and financial situation, evidence must be given to support the application.
  10. The Scholarship fee structure is awarded to all eligible students after the Admissions Committee reviews applications with all required documents, invoices will be sent via official email from the university’s Finance Department.
  11. RGUST has a fixed exchange rate of GY$218 to USD1.00 for local remittance.
  12. All miscellaneous fees and tuition must be paid before final examinations.
  13. The offices will not accept any type of cash transactions.
  14. All payments must be paid directly through our local bank- Demerara Bank Ltd or by wire transfer for International and Caribbean students.
  15. For all late payments, a 10% penalty will be added to the first 30 days, after this period 25% will be added to the payments.
  16. Students attending classes without paying their tuition will be marked as ‘Absent’ until the arrears are paid.

Refund Policy

The Refund policy applies to both National, Regional, and international students and is as follows:

  • One week before the commencement of the semester only 75% is refunded.
  • Before the end of the first (1st) week of the semester only 50% is refunded.
  • After the end of the first week of the semester, NO refund will be issued.
  • International students will not be eligible for a refund until they return to their home country.
  • Students on scholarship with the university will not be eligible for a refund once they withdraw or drop out during the program.

RGUST reserves the right to change its tuition & fee structure per circumstances and needs under the recommendation of its Board of Directors.
